Creating the Perfect Vacuum Seal
- Lid Placement: Place the lid securely on your container, ensure the edges align properly, and snap the latches closed.
- Pump Positioning: Position the pump directly over the valve on the container's lid. Ensure the pump sits flat and completely covers the valve.
- Pumping Technique: Use a steady, even motion to gently raise and lower the pump handle. Continue pumping until you feel resistance, indicating air evacuation.
Caution: Stop immediately if the sides start to bend inwards to prevent loss of seal.
- Troubleshooting: If having difficulty achieving a seal, inspect the valve for cleanliness and proper positioning. The silicone valve can be removed for cleaning.
Opening Your Container
- Press the valve gently until you hear air entering the container.
- Once the vacuum is released and the lid unlatched, you can easily lift the lid.
Using Vacuum Bags
- Secure the zipper closure using the white clips provided.
- For liquid items, elevate the valve on the bag and place on a flat, cleanable surface.
- If liquid enters the pump, rinse thoroughly and air dry before next use.
Tips for Perfect Preservation
- Ensure lid and valve are clean and completely dry before sealing.
- Leave space between food and lid for optimal vacuum creation.
- Use the food dial to track freshness dates.
Care Instructions
- Handle containers carefully to prevent breakage.
- Hand wash the lid recommended; dishwasher safe with precautions.
- Remove food dial before dishwasher cleaning.
- Allow hot food to cool completely before putting in the container and sealing.
- Keep liquid below valve level to prevent clogging.
- Store sealed containers in refrigerator or freezer.
- Store components in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Safety Notes
Do not heat food in the microwave directly in the container. Excessive heat will damage the container.
